Happy Tuesday (wishing it really was Thursday)...I apologize for not posting for awhile.
I have been to see my Rhuematologist and she said that I don't have RA, that I had PsA (psoriatic arthritis). Now after a few more tests and a visit to a dermatologist. I am told that I don't have psoriasis, have never had it (more about that later). I do have something called Telogen Effuvium. It is the diagnosis for why I am losing my hair. It was suggested that I take an iron supplement. So I am now taking an FE iron supplement twice a day. I will be going back to the Dermatologist in 3 months to see if it has helped. Okay since I no longer have PsA I am told I probably have UNDIFFERENTIATED SPONDYLOARTHROPATHY. And that I should just start on methotrexate (more about that later). I don't agree with that diagnosis and will not start taking such a harsh drug just because you think I might have UNDIFFERENTIATED SPONDYLOARTHROPATHY. After doing some research and talking to others that have taken Methotrexate I believe that it is not the best place to start. So now it's time for a second opinion. I am now gathering all my tests and charts from my doctors and am sending them on to the UW.
Until I get a confirmed diagnosis I plan to live a Whole New Life . Which I hope will in turn remove the pain and stress from my body and life.
To do this I am going to change my daily choices :
Step 1: Removing toxins from our home and lives.
Step 2: Eating more Organic and Whole foods.
Step 3: Making better life choices.
All of these changes I hope will help me and my family live a more managable life. Free from Stress and Pain (which usually are both together causing calamity). I love my family and want to be able to enjoy these years of my boys lifes.
A quote I came across while reading a number of books on auto immune diseases.
"Having an Auto Immune Disease is really a 'camouflage disorder' that creeps through your body. A person with an A.D. can look extremely normal but can feel absolutely awful. The pain doesn't limit itself to just one area of the body as it can travel from head to toe, and it all starts within." author unknown
Please feel free to join me on my journey to a better life.
